Hot Tapping

When W.S.W.S is contacted for a hot tap we work with you from to ensure that this is the safest and most cost effective means to meet your demands.
A typical Hot Tap installation consists of our crews following a strict procedure to weld on a branch saddle or thread- o- let. once the branch is welded, the ball or gate valve and hot tapping machine are in place the installation is pressure tested, the valve is opened, and the cutter and pilot drill are advanced. When the cut is complete, the cutter and pilot drill is retracted while retaining the cutting blank, the valve is closed and the Hot Tap Machine is removed.
